St. Catherine School is fully accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department. Our professional teaching staff meets the stringent standards required of today's educators. Each year our school has nominated a teacher for the prestigious Reaud Excellence in Education Award sponsored by the Beaumont Foundation of America. Mrs. Lisa Drago, middle school science teacher and technology coordinator, was a 2011 recipient of this honor. In addition, a representative from our school is honored with the Diocesan Teacher of the Year award. 18% of our faculty have completed Master's degrees. Our teachers have taught for an average of sixteen years and hold memberships in professional educator organizations including the National Catholic Education Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Kappa Delta Epsilon. They are also very involved in their own parishes as lectors, eucharistic ministers, choir members, ACTS retreat leaders, C.C.D. teachers, R.C.I.A. program sponsors, and as members of the diocesan youth ministry team. The community is also served by our faculty and staff through such involvement as the Sertoma Club, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Lion's Club and Boy and Girl Scouts.
