Greeting and Salutations. I am Aleska Washington and this is the English Society at St. Catherine of Siena School. Good English is spoken well here!
Here our middle school students engage in English Language Arts and Literature. Our lesson plans are derived from the Diocese of Beaumont pedagogical requirements using the following electronic and printed materials.
Shurley English Textbooks for our 5th thru 8th grade learners
Shurley English Stepping Stones for our Spanish speaking English Learners
Shurley English has assembled a unique combination of features to help students build a solid literacy foundation. The series is structured logically, sequentially, and systematically for the success of our students. Abstract language arts concepts become clear and logical, using concrete, multi-sensory strategies that support all types of learners.
